FESTIVAL, FUN AND FIREWORKS AROUND TOWN ON THE 4TH OF JULY

Take advantage of all Fernandina has to offer on Independence Day, beginning with the Stars and Stripes Freedom Festival at Central Park  at 10 a.m.  There will be a special "Touch a Truck" public safety display, including safety vehicles, as well as crafts, food, vendors and music.  For information, visit www.shinybadgesball.com.  Other July 4 activities:- "Sounds on Centre" a free monthly summer concert series, featuring Face for Radio, 6 p.m.;  "Art"rageous First Friday at galleries throughout the historic district, 6 p.m.; Fireworks display, 9:30 p.m., foot of Centre.
